Timing - The Right Time to Sell

There are distinct advantages in selling during the holidays.

The holidays. Sellers often postpone selling during the holiday season because of its added stresses. But January is one of the biggest transfer months for buyers coming to the Portland area. Sellers who do not have their home on the market during this time will miss out on this opportunity.

This is also a time when buyers have more time to look and are more serious about buying. It also gives the seller an opportunity to time the sale to their tax advantage -- either just before or just after the first of the year.
